*By interesting I mean mildly soul crushing.
They are not the same hat. I mean they are the same pattern but not the same hat. I knit that hat twice.
I even did a gauge swatch but the one on the bottom turned out just a smidge too small for my daughter. I should have seen this coming as I was using a size 1 needle on worsted weight and knitting bullet proof cables. Oh well, what can you do? Gift it to a younger friend and knit a new hat apparently.
