Castle Tea Room

I've been wanting to do a series of sketches of my city's downtown area. A new year and a new larger formatted journal have made me decide no time like the present. This sketch has eaten up bits and pieces of my daughter's nap time for the past week. My favorite part of the drawing-the tree in the upper left corner added as an afterthought. Go figure.

Good job on a complicated, interesting subject. I like your sky for that subtle light you created to frame the top of the building :)

Your building is right on, your brother was right-the bottle needed to be done large for him, and you obviously loved your dog. Keep up the good work.

What a beautiful sketch, and you are right, the branch up in the corner adds just the right touch!

Just awesome! I don't have much luck with buildings, wanting to use a ruler to get it all straight! I'll have to loosen up and try to draw some without the ruler!

Love all the architectural details. You caught them just right. The entrance appears to pop forward too.

Beautiful! Would love to see if you ever do Danforth Chapel on campus.

Just found your block through KCMQG and I'm really enjoying taking a look at your sketches!
